The high-performance, affordable artificial intelligence model launched just recently by Chinese start-up DeepSeek has created a wave of attention all over the world. DeepSeek-R1 appears to use efficiency that competitors options from the U.S., but the business says it was developed at less than a tenth of the cost of those designs.
