Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in regards to grades, and so on) at the preceding degree in the proper branch, with a great academic record in all preceding degrees. For a fresh Ph.D, the position will be on agreement basis for the first three years, and can be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of post-PhD teaching/research/industrial experience, routine consultation can be made.

Other details:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as acceptable to a Central Government worker stationed at Kanpur.

2. The advantages, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, children education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone bills, book grants, HRA (if real estate not supplied), research study initiation grant (approximately Rs 25 lakhs with the arrangement to obtain an extra grant) and financial assistance towards nationwide and worldwide conferences will be allowed according to the Institute norms.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute supplies an additional top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- each month for the very first 3 years of service to the recently joined professors members. After three years of service, the professor(s) are eligible for consideration for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) providing a top-up wage of Rs.15,000/- monthly for 3 years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up wage of Rs 25,000/- each month for three years. Both the positions are offered based upon efficiency.

4. Traveling allowance for joining: The Institute will compensate global travel costs for the freshly signed up with professor and dependent family members to the optimum limit of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel compensation will be based on federal government rules.
